About Neeman Furniture
Neeman Furniture is a furniture manufacturing company specializing in office, institutional, educational, hospital, and workspace furniture solutions. We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager with strong procurement expertise and, preferably, a proven background in the furniture manufacturing industry.
Job Summary The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing the complete procurement function, including sourcing raw materials, vendor development, price negotiation, purchase planning, order management, inventory coordination, and timely availability of materials for production.
The ideal candidate should have 6–7 years of relevant purchase/procurement experience in a furniture manufacturing company and strong knowledge of furniture raw materials, components, vendors, and manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Purchase Management
Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, components, consumables, hardware, and other production requirements. Develop and implement effective purchase strategies aligned with production requirements and business objectives.
Ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid production delays.
Prepare and manage Purchase Orders (POs), purchase schedules, and related documentation.
Coordinate closely with Production, Stores, Quality, Accounts, and Management teams.
1. Vendor Development & Management
Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop reliable suppliers. Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and continuously explore recent suppliers.
Evaluate vendors based on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, capacity, and reliability.
Conduct regular vendor performance reviews.
Develop alternate vendors to reduce supply-chain dependency and procurement risks.
1. Cost Negotiation & Cost Control
Negotiate prices, payment terms, credit periods, delivery terms, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
Track raw material price fluctuations and market trends.
Support management in achieving procurement cost-saving targets.
1. Furniture Industry Procurement
The candidate should have practical knowledge of sourcing and purchasing furniture-related materials such as: Plywood, MDF, HDF, particle board and other wood-based materials
Laminates, veneers, PVC and edge-banding materials
MS/SS pipes, sheets and metal components
Furniture hardware and fittings
Chair components and accessories
Foam, fabric, leatherette and upholstery materials
Adhesives, chemicals, paints and related consumables
Fasteners, screws and other hardware
Packaging materials
Other production-specific components
1. Purchase Planning & Inventory Coordination
Plan purchases based on production schedules, sales requirements, and inventory levels. Monitor stock availability and reorder levels.
Coordinate with Stores to maintain optimum inventory.
Avoid both material shortages and unnecessary excess inventory.
Track pending Purchase Orders and ensure timely delivery.
1. Quality & Delivery Coordination
Coordinate with vendors to ensure materials meet required specifications and quality standards. Work with the Quality and Production teams to resolve material-related issues.
Follow up on delayed, rejected, or incorrect materials.
Ensure suppliers adhere to agreed delivery schedules.
1. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor databases, quotations, POs, and procurement documentation. Prepare regular purchase reports for management.
Track purchase costs, pending orders, delivery status, and vendor performance.
Provide procurement-related MIS and analysis to the MD whenever required.

Eligibility Criteria
6–7 years of experience** in Purchase / Procurement.
Mandatory/strongly preferred: Experience in a furniture manufacturing company.
Strong understanding of furniture raw materials and manufacturing components.
Experience handling multiple vendors and procurement requirements.
Graduate degree in any relevant discipline; a degree/diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, or related fields will be an advantage.
Candidates with experience in manufacturing procurement will be preferred.

₹50,000 per month, depending on relevant experience and suitability for the role.
Reporting Structure The Purchase Manager will report directly to the Managing Director (MD) and will work closely with Production, Stores, Quality, Accounts, Sales, and Operations teams.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a hands-on procurement professional who understands the realities of furniture manufacturing and can independently manage vendors, negotiations, purchase planning, and material availability.
The ideal candidate should be commercially strong, proactive, vendor-savvy, and capable of taking ownership of the complete purchase function.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹56,844.19 per month
