Purpose of Job
We are seeking a Program Manager / Project Manager to own the delivery of technology products across the Technology team's portfolio. The role sits within the Technology team and acts as the connective tissue between program teams (who define what's needed), developers or vendors (who build it), and leadership (who need visibility into progress and impact). Products assigned to this role will vary and are not tied to any single program the incumbent will move across different tools and initiatives as priorities shift.
The role exists to bring structure and momentum to a growing portfolio of tools, ensuring they are well-scoped, delivered on time, and genuinely useful to the people who rely on them. In year one, success looks like a well-run intake and delivery process for tech requests, dependable stakeholder communication, and at least one major product taken from requirements to adoption under the incumbent's ownership.
Essential Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline from a reputed institute.
- A management degree (MBA or equivalent PGDM), in addition to the above, is a strong plus.
Preferred Key Skill /Qualifications :
- Familiarity with low-code/no-code tools or lightweight tech stacks (e.g., Google Apps Script, self-contained HTML/JS tools) strongly preferred given the team's build philosophy.
- Experience in the social impact, education, or nonprofit sector.
- Exposure to vendor management or working with external development partners.
- Familiarity with tools like Excel/Google Sheets for building analytics dashboards.
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or CSM (Certified Scrum Master) are a plus.
- Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) or Lean certification is a plus.
- Certifications in AI product management, applied AI, or related emerging-tech credentials are a plus.
Essential Experience :
- Product/project management: Demonstrated experience managing technology products or projects end-to-end, from requirements through delivery.
- Communication: Robust written and verbal communication skills, including comfort writing structured documents (BRDs, PRDs, status updates).
- Cross-functional coordination: Experience coordinating across program staff, developers, and leadership with competing priorities.
- QA/testing: Working knowledge of QA/testing processes for software products.
- Data & reporting: Comfort working with data to build reports or dashboards for non technical stakeholders.
• Organization: Structured, organized approach to managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
Key Roles/Responsibilities
- Product roadmap & delivery ownership:
1. Own the roadmap and backlog for assigned technology products, prioritizing based on program impact and technical feasibility.
2. Identify risks or delays early and proactively communicate trade-offs to stakeholders and leadership.
3. Maintain documentation standards across the product portfolio so institutional knowledge doesn't live in one person's head.
• Requirements & stakeholder management:
1. Gather and document requirements from program teams, translating needs into clear BRDs/PRDs that developers can act on.
2.Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders on tech product status, gathering feedback and setting realistic expectations.
- Development & vendor coordination:
1. Coordinate day-to-day with in-house developers and external vendors to keep builds on track, unblock issues, and manage timelines.
• QA & quality assurance:
1. Plan and coordinate QA/testing cycles, ensuring products are validated against requirements before rollout.
• Reporting & analytics:
1. Compile and present data and analytics on product usage and milestones to leadership, in a format that's clear and decision-ready
