Job Title: Professor – Pediatrics

Department: Pediatrics / Child Health

Reports To: Head of Department (HOD) / Principal / Dean

Job Purpose

To lead undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, conduct clinical research, and oversee clinical care in the Pediatrics OPD, IPD, and Intensive Care Units (NICU/PICU).

Core Responsibilities

- Academic & Teaching: Deliver lectures, seminars, clinical bedside teaching, and practical demonstrations for MBBS and MD/DNB Pediatrics students.
- Clinical Care: Provide inpatient, outpatient, and round-the-clock emergency care, including NICU/PICU patient management.
- Research & Guidance: Guide postgraduate thesis work, publish research in indexed journals, and foster department research activities.
- Administration & Compliance: Oversee department operations,



participate in college committees, and ensure adherence to NMC (National Medical Commission) norms and inspections.

Candidate Profile & Eligibility

- Educational Qualification: MD / DNB in Pediatrics from an NMC-recognized institution.
- Teaching Experience: Minimum 3 years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor in Pediatrics at a recognized medical college.
- Publications: Meets required NMC publication criteria for the post of Professor in indexed national/international journals.
- Registration: Valid registration with the State Medical Council / National Medical Commission.
