About the Role
We're looking for a PR Manager to lead communications strategy for our D2C client portfolio. You'll own the narrative for quick-growing consumer brands - from product launches and founder positioning to crisis management and media relationships. This is a role for someone who understands both the storytelling and the commercial pressure D2C brands operate under: speed, virality, and category noise.

What You'll Do
Own end-to-end PR strategy for a portfolio of D2C clients - planning, developing, and implementing PR strategies for brands within the industry of choice and driving high-impact news coverage (stories/interviews/other formats)
Build and maintain strong relationships with business, lifestyle, and category journalists, editors, and key media outlets
Lead media outreach, press release drafting, and pitch development that actually lands coverage, not just gets sent
Manage founder/spokesperson positioning - bylines, interviews, panel opportunities, thought leadership
Anticipate and manage reputational risk, lead crisis communications when needed




Collaborate with client marketing and growth teams to align PR moments with product launches, funding news, and campaigns
Track and report on media coverage, share of voice, and campaign impact - translate results into insights clients actually use
Mentor a team of 3-4 members (associates/executives) on pitching, media relations, and client servicing
Stay ahead of D2C industry trends, competitor activity, and shifts in the media landscape
What we’re looking for
5-7 years of PR experience, with meaningful exposure to D2C, consumer, or lifestyle brands (agency-side strongly preferred)
Strong, active media relationships
Excellent writing & proofreading - pitches, press releases, and bylines that sound sharp, not templated
Ability to manage multiple clients and stakeholders without dropping balls
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, lean-team environment where ownership matters more than hierarchy
