Description The Process Control Applications Developer - Associate is responsible for development of event detection application.
Focus of Role: Learning, enhancement of existing application
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SCADA applications using the Ignition platform (Perspective/Vision, Gateway scripting)
- Provide Tier 2/above site support for application troubleshooting and ad hoc customizations
- Requirement gathering, development, testing,
deployment documentation and communication for recent versions and patch releases
- Sustainment and development of reporting/BI tools/dashboards to aid fleet management
- Work with IT/OT teams on infrastructure, networking, access control and cybersecurity requirements
- Support knowledge transfer and training for Tier 1 support and users
Required skills
- Preference : Exposure to tools developed on Ignition
- Strong experience in Ignition SCADA (Inductive Automation)
- Proficiency in scripting and programming (SQL, Python, Java)
- Experience in databases (MSSQL) and cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS)
- Understanding of industrial control systems and communications for both IT and OT domains (OPC, MQTT, APIs etc)
- Knowledge of site work processes is a plus
