: Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced COBOL/RPGLE Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in COBOL/RPGLE programming, with strong analytical skills to trace and resolve complex issues. This role involves debugging active/batch processes, simulating scenarios, and ensuring system stability and performance in a high-volume transaction setting.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application issues in COBOL/RPGLE-based systems.
Perform active/batch debugging and identify root causes of system issues.
Simulate and validate business scenarios to ensure accurate functionality and compliance with requirements.
Collaborate with local IT team to design, develop, and maintain COBOL/RPGLE programs for critical business applications.
Optimize existing code for performance and reliability.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation for processes, programs, and system changes.

Required Skills & Qualifications
10+ years of experience in COBOL/RPGLE development.
Strong debugging skills, including batch job analysis and error tracing.




Experience with scenario simulation and test case validation.
Solid understanding of SDLC, change management, and version control tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cooperative environment.
Experience in insurance industries.

Essential Skills
Good information and sound knowledge in Cobol + RPGLE.
10+ years of experience in COBOL/RPGLE development.
Strong debugging skills, including batch job analysis and error tracing.
Experience with scenario simulation and test case validation.
Solid understanding of SDLC, change management, and version control tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
