Job Purpose To provide academic, administrative and institutional leadership for the effective functioning, development and quality improvement of the College of Physiotherapy in accordance with MUHS, regulatory and professional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide overall leadership for academic and administrative activities of the college.
- Ensure compliance with MUHS, MSOTPT Council, NCAHP and other applicable regulatory requirements .
- Plan and monitor teaching, clinical training, examinations, internships and academic activities.
- Supervise teaching and non-teaching staff and ensure adequate staffing as per applicable norms.
- Promote faculty development, research, publications, seminars, workshops and continuing professional education.
- Ensure proper student discipline, attendance, academic progress and welfare.
- Coordinate with the affiliated hospital for clinical training and patient-care-related academic activities.
- Maintain institutional records, statutory documents, reports and mandatory disclosures.
- Lead preparation for university inspections, LIC visits,



accreditation and regulatory assessments.
- Prepare and monitor the academic calendar, departmental plans and institutional development activities.
- Ensure effective implementation of institutional policies, quality standards and grievance-redressal mechanisms.
- Represent the college before the University, regulatory authorities and other qualified bodies.
- Develop strategic plans for the growth and reputation of the institution.

Eligibility & Experience

- Post-Graduate Qualification in Physiotherapy or Ph.D. / equivalent qualification in the Faculty of Health Sciences from a recognized University/Institution.
- Minimum Experience:
- 03 years’ experience as a Professor OR 12 years’ total teaching experience as a teacher after graduation in Physiotherapy .
- The candidate must possess a Post-Graduate qualification or Ph.D. / equivalent qualification as applicable under the Faculty of Health Sciences .
- Candidate must fulfil all applicable MUHS and other statutory/regulatory requirements for the post of Principal .
