Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced PLSQL Developer with hands-on expertise in the Premia General Insurance/Core Insurance Platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting database objects, interfaces, reports, and integrations within the Premia ecosystem.

- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL programs, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Work extensively on the Premia Insurance application for customization, enhancements, and production support.
- Develop and support batch jobs, interfaces, and data migration activities.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performance and scalability.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Application Support, QA, and Infrastructure teams.
- Prepare technical design documents and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Participate in release management, deployment, and change request activities.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL Development.




- Hands-on experience with Premia Insurance Application (Property & Casualty / General Insurance modules preferred).
- Positive understanding of Insurance Domain processes including:
- Policy Administration
- Underwriting
- Claims
- Reinsurance
- Finance & Accounting
- Experience in writing complex queries, packages, procedures, triggers, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux scripting.
- Experience with data migration, interfaces, and batch processing.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to Oracle Forms and Reports.
- Experience in API integration and web services.
- Understanding of Insurance regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

Candidate Profile

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in production support and incident management environments.

Nice to Have

- Experience in Premia implementation, upgrade, or migration projects.
- Certification or domain expertise in General Insurance.
