Role Description The Placement Counselor role is a full-time, 100% remote position focused on supporting candidates through the end-to-end placement lifecycle. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with students and early-career professionals, understanding their skills and career goals, and providing tailored career counseling and job search guidance.

The role involves preparing candidates for interviews, running mock interview sessions, and delivering training on employability skills, resume optimization, and professional communication.

The Placement

Counselor will collaborate with colleges and employer partners to align candidate readiness with hiring needs, maintain accurate placement records,



and leverage HireX AI’s platform to track outcomes and improve matching. This role requires proactive communication, strong relationship-building, and a commitment to enhancing candidate experience and placement success in a digital-first environment.

Qualifications

- Strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to build trust-based relationships with diverse candidates, college stakeholders, and employer partners.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible way.
- Proficiency in Career Counseling, including assessing candidate strengths, guiding career pathways, and supporting skills-based and early-career placement.
- Experience with Interviewing and preparing candidates through mock interviews, feedback, and coaching on common interview formats and employer expectations.
- Capability in Training, including conducting workshops, webinars, and one-on-one coaching on employability skills, resumes, and professional readiness.
- Comfort working in a remote, technology-driven setting; ability to use digital tools, CRM or placement tracking systems, and video conferencing platforms.
- Knowledge of campus placement processes, talent acquisition, or early-career recruitment is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, human resources, education, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple candidates and stakeholders, prioritize tasks, and meet placement and performance goals
