Let’s begin with an honest description of the job.

You will write.
A lot.

Some days, it will be an ad headline you cannot stop believe nobody thought of before. Some days, it will be a deeply researched blog with an actual point of view. There will be social media captions, scripts, websites, case studies and technical whitepapers.

And yes, there will also be 200 product descriptions staring back at you.

We are looking for the rare writer who can do all of it without treating one form of writing as beneath them or another as beyond them.

Someone who enjoys research, writes excellent English and knows that a strong sentence rarely arrives perfect on the first attempt. Someone who can understand a new industry quickly, find the interesting bit and make other people care about it.

You should be able to write long when the subject deserves depth, short when the medium demands restraint and again when the first version simply isn’t good enough.

Social media posts and campaign narratives
Headlines, advertisements, scripts and taglines
Product descriptions, catalogues and other high-volume content
Almost anything else that needs the right words

What we are looking for
3–5 years of qualified writing experience
Excellent written English—not merely grammatically correct English
Strong research skills and the patience to understand before writing
The ability to move between industries, audiences and tones
An instinct for what sounds sharp, what sounds forced and what sounds suspiciously like everything else on the internet
The stamina to write extensively without letting standards slide
The ability to edit your own work before someone else has to
Comfort with feedback, rewrites and occasionally killing a sentence you were rather fond of
Intelligent use of AI as a tool, not as a substitute for thought or voi
