? Payroll Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY The Payroll Administrator processes payroll accurately and on time while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role partners with HR, Accounting, managers, and employees on payroll records, timekeeping, compensation, and pay-related questions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Process biweekly/weekly payroll, including hours, overtime, PTO, commissions, bonuses, and deductions
- Handle recent hires, terminations, pay changes, and off-cycle corrections
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in the payroll system
- Ensure compliance with payroll tax filings, wage and hour laws, and audit requirements
- Support year-end activities, including W-2 preparation and reconciliation
- Process and reconcile benefit deductions (health, dental, vision, retirement, garnishments)
- Reconcile payroll to accounting records and prepare recurring payroll reports
- Respond to employee questions on pay, deductions, taxes,



and PTO with discretion and professionalism

QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of payroll administration/processing experience preferred
- Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax, and wage/hour compliance
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management

- Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills
- Ability to handle confidential information and meet strict deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work hours aligned with EST (Eastern Standard Time)

PREFERRED
- QuickBooks/Intuit Payroll experience
- Multi-state and commission-based payroll experience
- Experience with W-2 and 1099 workers
- FPC or CPP certification a plus
- Experience in a fast-growing organization
