Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe COBOL Developer with solid expertise in IBM Mainframe application development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Enterprise COBOL, JCL, and DB2 application development and should be capable of designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting mission-critical mainframe applications.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain COBOL applications on IBM Mainframe (z/OS).
Develop, modify, and optimize JCL scripts for batch processing.
Perform application development and maintenance using Mainframe DB2.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Support production settings, including incident analysis and defect resolution.
Optimize application performance and improve system efficiency.




Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and technical teams for successful delivery.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience
6–8 years of experience in Mainframe application development.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Enterprise COBOL (System Z)
JCL (System Z)
Mainframe DB2 Application Development
Good understanding of IBM z/OS environments.
Experience in batch processing and production support.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Positive communication skills.
