Senior Mainframe Developer (Banking Domain)

Experience Required:
4 to 8 years of hands-on IT experience in Mainframe technologies.
Mandatory experience in the banking or financial services domain.

Job Summary: We need a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our banking technology team. You will build, test, and support mission-critical banking applications. Your work will involve core banking processes like accounts, transactions, and payment systems. You must write clean code using COBOL and run jobs using JCL.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and debug COBOL programs for banking applications.
Create and update JCL (Job Control Language) scripts for batch processing.
Work with DB2 and VSAM databases to store and retrieve financial data.
Use CICS for online banking transaction systems.




Analyze business needs from banking stakeholders.
Fix production bugs and improve batch job performance.
Follow strict bank security and compliance rules.
Write technical documents and test plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
4 to 8 years of qualified Mainframe development experience.
Solid skills in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
Experience with CICS online screens.
Mandatory work history in a Banking or Financial Services project.
Knowledge of file-handling and sorting utilities (DFSORT).
Valuable problem-solving and communication skills.
