SAP BTP ABAP RAP Developer

Job Responsibilities
Design and develop enterprise-grade OData V2/V4 services using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
Develop scalable Business Objects (BOs) using Behavior Definitions (BDEF) and Behavior Implementations, supporting managed and unmanaged scenarios.
Implement transactional logic including CRUD operations, actions, validations, determinations, and feature control.
Design and develop complex data models using ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) with appropriate annotations for:
Fiori Elements UI
Search and value helps
Analytical applications
Authorization and semantic modeling
Develop ABAP Cloud-compliant solutions following Clean Core principles.
Implement developer extensibility and side-by-side extensibility on SAP BTP ABAP Workplace (Steampunk).
Develop and expose reusable APIs and services for integration between SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and external applications.




Implement asynchronous communication using SAP Business Events within RAP-based applications.
Integrate external REST APIs and services to support hybrid SAP and non-SAP business processes.
Work with SAP BTP Integration Suite for API-based and event-driven integrations.
Develop high-performance database logic using ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, and SQLScript.
Ensure solutions follow SAP development standards, performance guidelines, security requirements, and Clean Core principles.
Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, integration teams, and frontend/Fiori developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, unit testing, and technical documentation.
Mentor junior ABAP developers and contribute to technical design and solution architecture.

Mandatory Skills
7+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development
Robust hands-on experience in SAP ABAP RAP
Solid expertise in SAP B
