Ophthalmology OT Technician

Position: OT Technician

Department: Ophthalmology – Operation Theatre

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the OT, surgical instruments, equipment and consumables before each procedure.
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during ophthalmic surgeries.
- Handle and maintain ophthalmic surgical instruments and equipment.
- Perform proper cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of instruments.
- Prepare surgical trays and consumables according to the procedure.
- Follow strict aseptic techniques and infection-control protocols.
- Ensure availability of implants, medicines and OT consumables.
- Maintain OT registers, surgery checklists and sterilization records.
- Assist in patient preparation and protected transfer before and after surgery.
- Coordinate with surgeons, nurses, CSSD, pharmacy and other departments.
- Maintain OT readiness, hygiene and safety standards.
- Follow hospital SOPs and quality standards.

Preferred Qualification

Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology or equivalent.

Experience

Experience in Ophthalmology OT is preferred, especially in cataract and other eye surgeries.

Pay: ₹10,159.67 - ₹26,482.48 per month
