Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team in an L1/L2 support capacity. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in network security operations, troubleshooting, monitoring, and incident resolution.

Cisco Firewall experience is a must-have for this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L1/L2 network security support and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and manage network security devices and security incidents.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Cisco Firewalls .
- Troubleshoot firewall connectivity, access, and security-related issues.
- Monitor firewall logs, alerts, and network security events.
- Handle incident tickets and provide timely resolution within defined SLAs.
- Perform basic firewall rule analysis and troubleshooting.
- Support firewall rule creation, modification, and implementation as per security policies.
- Troubleshoot VPN, NAT, ACL, and connectivity-related issues.
- Coordinate with network, infrastructure, and security teams for issue resolution.
- Escalate complex issues to L3/security engineering teams when required.
- Maintain proper documentation of incidents, changes,



and troubleshooting activities.
- Follow standard security procedures, policies, and operational processes.

Required Skills

- Solid hands-on experience with Cisco Firewall – Mandatory.
- Experience in L1/L2 Network Security support .
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
- Experience with Firewall policies, ACLs, NAT, and VPN troubleshooting .
- Good understanding of network security concepts.
- Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting network/security alerts.
- Familiarity with incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Cisco ASA / Cisco Firepower.
- Knowledge of IPS/IDS and VPN technologies.
- Exposure to network monitoring and security monitoring tools.
- ITIL/process-oriented support experience.
- Relevant Cisco or security certifications will be an advantage.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or security certifications are a plus.

Location Preference Chennai is preferred. However, candidates from other locations across India can also be considered based on experience and suitability for the role.
