The Position
As a Lead Engineer - SAP Basis DevOps, you will lead the engineering, automation, reliability, and continuous improvement of SAP platforms across on-premises and Azure cloud environments. You will combine deep SAP Basis expertise with DevOps, platform engineering, and AI-enabled operations to deliver highly available, secure, and automated SAP services.
You will lead a team of engineers, drive platform strategy, enable cloud transformation, and champion contemporary engineering practices that improve productivity, reliability, and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Platform Engineering
Lead SAP Basis operations for SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, SAP BTP, and HANA environments.
Manage installations, upgrades, migrations,



refreshes, patching, performance optimisation, and lifecycle management.
Ensure platform availability, scalability, security, and operational excellence across SAP landscapes.
DevOps, Automation & Cloud
Drive DevOps adoption using Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automation frameworks.
Automate provisioning, monitoring, patching, compliance, and release management activities.
Lead SAP cloud transformation initiatives on Microsoft Azure.
Establish platform standards, reusable automation, and engineering best practices.
AI-Enabled Operations
Drive adoption of AI, Generative AI, and AIOps capabilities across SAP platform operations.
Leverage GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and enterprise AI tools to improve engineering productivity and operational effectiveness.
Implement AI-assisted monitoring, root cause analysis, anomaly detection, capacity planni
