Organisation Description Alfaaz is an independent collective that celebrates art, literature, filmography and culture by creating inclusive community spaces for creators, thinkers, and art lovers. The collective focuses on philosophy, literature, fine arts, and that highlight distinct voices. It also engages in visual arts and design by showcasing independent artwork, exhibitions, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Alfaaz curates cultural gatherings and dialogues centered on heritage, philosophy, and contemporary artistic expression, with a strong belief in authentic storytelling. Community members can connect and collaborate through regular events, callouts, and cultural features.

Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Volunteer role based in Srinagar. Volunteers support the planning and execution of events such art showcases, and cultural dialogues. Day-to-day tasks may include coordinating with artists and participants, assisting with venue setup, managing registrations and audience engagement, and helping document events through notes, photography, or social media.



Volunteers may also contribute to content creation for announcements, event recaps, and community updates, and help maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for all attendees. The role involves close collaboration with the core team to strengthen local networks, gather feedback, and co-create new formats for artistic and cultural gatherings.

Qualifications
Ability to support arts and culture events, including basic coordination, logistics handling, and participant communication.
Robust interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage respectfully and thoughtfully with diverse creators, audiences, and community members.
Interest in literature, philosophy, visual arts, and filmography, with openness to learning and participating in creative discussions.
Organizational and time-management skills to manage full time on-site responsibilities and multiple tasks during events.
