Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Site Engineer to coordinate and monitor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, firefighting and ELV services at the project site.

The candidate will coordinate with consultants, architects, civil engineers, contractors and MEP vendors to ensure proper execution, drawing coordination, quality and timely completion of site activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate MEP vendor shop drawings and combined service layouts with architectural and structural drawings.
- Coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, firefighting and ELV services at the site.
- Identify and resolve service clashes before installation.
- Check service routes, levels, drainage slopes, shafts, sleeves, openings, supports and equipment locations.
- Coordinate the positions of lights, fans, AC units, detectors, sprinklers and access panels with ceiling and interior teams.
- Conduct regular vendor coordination meetings and follow up on pending actions.
- Coordinate with civil and finishing teams for proper work sequencing.
- Inspect MEP installations before concealment or ceiling closure.
- Monitor site progress, installation quality and compliance with approved drawings.
- Maintain drawing registers, technical query logs, site records and weekly progress reports.
- Ensure vendors work with the latest approved drawings and revisions.
- Support quantity verification and variation review.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, snag rectification and handover documentation.
- Ensure safe execution of MEP works and obtain necessary clearances before cutting or coring structural elements.




- Escalate major technical issues, delays and scope gaps to the Project Manager.

Requirements

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant Engineering Diploma.
- 3–6 years of experience in MEP site execution and coordination.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage and Firefighting systems.
- Working knowledge of ELV services and their interfaces.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP and coordinated service drawings.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant MEP/drawing coordination software.
- Good coordination, communication, planning and follow-up skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Tamil and English.
- Willingness to work full-time at the project site in Madurai.
- Experience in hospital, institutional or multistorey projects will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of BIM coordination and testing & commissioning will be an advantage.
