- Solid understanding of motor controller architecture, interfaces, diagnostics, and control functions for EV powertrain systems.
- Experience in testing and validating motor and inverter systems to verify controller and model performance.
- Good knowledge of different electric motor technologies, including:
- BLDC
- PMSM
- Induction Motors
- Switched Reluctance Motors (SRM)
- Hands-on experience with motor control strategies, including:
- Vector Control
- Sensorless Control
- Scalar Control
- Field Weakening
- Experience with vehicle-level integration of motor and motor controller, ensuring compliance with vehicle performance requirements.
- Good understanding of CAN and LIN communication protocols.
- Experience in preparing and executing DVP, conducting DFMEA for electrical components, and maintaining ECN-related documentation.
- Knowledge of HEV/EV electrical features and functions, along with EMI/EMC requirements.
- Understanding of ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements applicable to EV electrical systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to work with creative design and problem-solving approaches while meeting project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
