Job Role Pattern Master – Indo-Western Women’s Wear

- Develop accurate and detailed manual patterns for Indian and Western wear based on design sketches and specifications.
- Translate designer concepts into precise patterns while ensuring proper fit, construction, and finishing.
- Handle pattern grading and make necessary adjustments to improve garment fit and quality.
- Work closely with designers and production teams throughout the garment development process.
- Oversee garment construction and ensure patterns are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Supervise tailors and stitching teams to maintain quality and precision.
- Ensure high standards of pattern-making, garment fitting, drape, and finishing.

Key Responsibilities Pattern Development:

- Create detailed manual patterns based on sketches, measurements, and design specifications.
- Develop patterns for Indo-Western women’s wear and different Indian and Western garment styles.
- Interpret design concepts and convert them into production-ready patterns.
- Make pattern corrections and modifications as required.

Pattern Grading & Fitting

- Grade patterns according to required sizes.
- Make necessary adjustments to improve fit, comfort, and garment quality.
- Conduct fitting checks and identify pattern-related issues.
- Ensure proper balance, proportion, drape, and overall garment fit.

Fabric Cutting

- Cut fabrics and garments accurately according to approved patterns.
- Ensure efficient fabric utilisation and accurate cutting.
- Handle different fabric types according to their characteristics and garment requirements.

Garment Construction & Production

- Oversee garment construction from pattern to finished product.




- Ensure stitching teams follow patterns accurately.
- Supervise tailors and stitching teams during production.
- Coordinate with designers and production teams to resolve construction or fitting issues.
- Ensure production is completed with precision and efficiency.

Quality Control

- Maintain quality standards throughout pattern development and garment production.
- Inspect garments for proper fit, construction, finishing, and overall appearance.
- Identify and rectify pattern or fitting defects.
- Ensure consistency across garments and sizes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in manual pattern-making.
- Experience in a fashion house or garment export company preferred.

- Ability to supervise stitching and production teams effectively.
