We are looking for a Mainframe Apprentice who has completed foundational training in mainframe technologies.

The candidate will work under the guidance of experienced team members and gain hands-on experience in mainframe application development, testing, and support.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities.

- Support mainframe application development and maintenance activities under the guidance of senior team members.
- Create, modify and execute basic JCL jobs and analyse job outputs.
- Perform basic COBOL coding, testing, and debugging under supervision.
- Write and execute basic DB2 SQL queries and support data-related activities.
- Analyse basic compile errors, JCL errors, and job monitoring and abends with guidance.
- Follow established coding, testing, documentation, and change-management processes.
- Learn and adapt to the organization's mainframe applications, tools, and business processes.
- Work closely with senior developers’/support teams and progressively take ownership of assigned tasks
