- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Looker.
- Build and optimize LookML models, views, explores, and dashboards.
- Collaborate with business users to gather reporting and analytics requirements.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data models and BI solutions.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reports and dashboards.
- Troubleshoot data quality issues and resolve reporting discrepancies.
- Work closely with data engineering teams to understand data pipelines and warehouse structures.
- Optimize Looker performance through efficient data modeling and query tuning.
- Implement data governance, security, and access controls within Looker.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and development standards.
- Support ad-hoc reporting and analytics requests from stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, or Analytics development.
- Hands-on experience with Looker and LookML development.
- Solid proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
- Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as:
- Google BigQuery
- Snowflake
- Amazon Redshift
- Azure Synapse
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and dimensional modeling.
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices and dashboard design principles.
- Experience with Git/version control for LookML deployment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
