Key Responsibilities

- Handle legal recovery and debt resolution matters for the NBFC portfolio.

- Draft, review, and issue legal notices, demand notices, and replies under applicable laws.

- Manage litigation, arbitration, and court proceedings related to recovery cases.

- Ensure compliance with SARFAESI Act, 2002, Recovery of Debts and Bankruptcy Act, 1993 (RDB Act), and other relevant statutes.

- Liaise with external counsels, law firms, and recovery agents for effective case management.

- Represent the company before Debt Recovery Tribunals (DRT), District Courts, and other judicial/quasi-judicial authorities.

- Maintain accurate records of recovery proceedings, case status, and legal documentation.

- Provide legal advisory support to business teams on loan recovery strategies and risk mitigation.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Solid knowledge of SARFAESI Act, 2002,



RDB Act, 1993, Indian Contract Act, 1872, and Companies Act, 2013.

- Familiarity with Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC), 2016 and its application in NBFC recovery.

- Experience in drafting petitions, affidavits, and pleadings for recovery cases.

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills for settlement discussions.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple recovery cases simultaneously.

Qualifications

- LLB/LLM from a recognized university.

- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in legal recovery, debt resolution, and NBFC litigation.

- Prior exposure to SARFAESI proceedings, DRT cases, and IBC matters preferred.
