Job Summary:
A Sales Executive in a handicrafts and têxtile showroom is responsible for assisting customers, promoting traditional and contemporary products (such as fabrics, garments, home décor, and handmade items), and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience that leads to sales and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
Greet customers warmly and understand their needs
Explain product details such as fabric type, craftsmanship, origin, and care instructions
Suggest suitable products based on customer preferences and budget
Sales & Promotion
Actively promote handicrafts, têxtiles, and related items
Achieve daily/weekly/monthly sales targets
Upsell and cross-sell products
Product Knowledge
Maintain strong knowledge of:
Different fabrics (cotton, silk, wool, etc.)
Handicraft techniques (embroidery, weaving styles, regional specialties)
Stay updated on current arrivals and trends
Showroom Maintenance
Ensure products are neatly displayed and organized
Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of the showroom
Assist in visual merchandising and window displays
Billing & Inventory Support
Support in billing, invoicing, and payments (cash/card/UPI)
Assist in stock checking and inventory management
Report low stock or damaged items
Customer Relationship Management
Build long-term relationships with customers
Handle customer queries, complaints, and returns politely
Maintain customer records if required
Required Skills:
Positive communication (spoken English)and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of têxtiles and handicrafts (preferred)
Sales and negotiation skills
Customer-focused attitude
Qualifications:
Minimum: 10th/12th pass (higher preferred)
Experience in retail/showroom sales is an advantage
