Key Responsibilities
High-Volume Sourcing: Find qualified commercial drivers (CDL holders), mechanics, and route supervisors using local job boards, driver referrals, and community outreach.
Compliance & Safety Screening: Verify commercial driver's licenses (CDL), motor vehicle records (MVR), DOT physicals, background checks, and drug testing requirements.
Interview & Assessment: Conduct initial phone screens and coordinate driving/skills evaluations with transit operations managers.
Onboarding & Training Coordination: Guide current hires through safety orientations, route training schedules, and company policies.
Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate candidate data using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to track time-to-fill metrics for urgent route staffing.
