Senior Resident – Adult Cardiology

Department: Cardiology Designation: Senior Resident – Adult Cardiology

Reports to: Consultant Cardiologist / Head of Department

Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage adult patients with cardiovascular diseases in OPD, wards, emergency and ICU settings.
Assess and manage acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease and hypertensive emergencies.
Perform and interpret ECGs, cardiac biomarkers and basic cardiac investigations.
Assist in echocardiography, stress testing and other non-invasive cardiac investigations.
Assist consultants in coronary angiography, PCI and other cardiac procedures, as applicable.
Provide peri-procedural and post-procedural patient care.
Manage cardiac emergencies, including acute MI, cardiogenic shock and life-threatening arrhythmias.
Participate in CCU/cardiac ICU rounds and emergency/on-call duties.
Maintain accurate medical records, discharge summaries and clinical documentation.
Participate in academic activities, case presentations, teaching and clinical research.
Supervise and guide junior residents/interns.
