Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support
Assist the Consultant Pulmonologist during outpatient consultations, inpatient rounds and clinical procedures.
Obtain and document comprehensive patient history, presenting complaints and relevant clinical information.
Monitor and record patients' vital signs, clinical observations and treatment progress.
Assist in evaluating patients with respiratory and pulmonary disorders under the supervision of the Consultant.
Review and organize relevant investigation reports, including blood investigations, chest X-ray, CT scans, pulmonary function tests and other diagnostic reports.
Support the Consultant in developing and documenting appropriate patient care plans.
Identify and promptly communicate any significant change in the patient's clinical condition to the Consultant / treating team.
Patient Care & Coordination
Coordinate patient care between Pulmonology, Nursing, Radiology, Laboratory, ICU and other relevant departments.
Educate patients and attendants regarding investigations, treatment plans,



medication compliance and follow-up requirements as directed by the Consultant.
Assist in discharge planning and ensure necessary clinical documentation is completed.
Maintain appropriate patient records and ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Procedure & Diagnostic Assistance
Assist the Consultant during pulmonary procedures as required, such as bronchoscopy-related preparation and other respiratory procedures.
Ensure patients are appropriately prepared for diagnostic procedures and investigations.
Coordinate scheduling and follow-up of pulmonary investigations and procedures.
Ensure adherence to infection-control and patient-safety protocols.
Documentation & Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain accurate clinical records, progress notes and patient-related documentation.
Assist with preparation of clinical summaries, referral notes and discharge documentation.
