Key Responsibilities
Inspect Materials: Check incoming raw supplies from vendors and reject anything that fails quality tests.
Monitor Production: Test and measure in-process items and finished goods using accurate tools.
Use Tools: Operate equipment like micrometers, calipers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Read Blueprints: Study technical drawings, product plans, and safety rules to understand expected standards.
Record Data: Write inspection reports, track defect rates,
and log non-conformances into the database.
Collaborate: Work with the production crew to fix quality issues and suggest process improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
Attention to detail: Spot tiny defects or measurement errors.
Technical skills: Read blueprints and use measurement tools.
Communication: Explain problems clearly to workers and managers.
