Job DescriptionAbout the Role
NOur client is seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer(4-8) to join their growing India-based Data Engineering pod, working closely with the UK Data team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building scalable data platforms, improving engineering reliability, implementing CI/CD best practices, and enabling advanced analytics and AI/ML initiatives. This role requires strong technical expertise, ownership mindset, and the ability to mentor junior engineers within a collaborative international environment.
NKey Responsibilities

- Build, optimize, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL data pipelines N
- Work extensively with Snowflake, dbt, SQL, and Python N
- Implement CI/CD best practices for modern data engineering workflows N
- Improve monitoring, alerting, reliability, and data quality processes N
- Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, BI teams, and stakeholders N
- Support data modelling and data architecture initiatives N
- Mentor and guide juniorengineers within the India pod N




- Contribute towards MLOps foundations and production deployment workflows N
- Work in close coordination with UK-based engineering teams N

nRequired Skills

- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering N
- Solid expertise in SQLand Python N
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake N
- Strong working experience with dbt N
- Experience building production-grade data pipelines N
- Good understanding of data modelling concepts (3NF, Kimball, etc.) N
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows N
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills N
- Experience working withcloud-based modern data platforms N
- Ability to work independently with strong ownership mindset N
