About the Role
We are hiring a Python engineer with deep data engineering experience to build and run the
pipelines that move, transform and serve data across our platform. The role combines API
development with hands-on ownership of ingestion and ETL workflows, and calls for someone who
is strong at debugging data problems as well as writing code.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop and maintain data ingestion and ETL pipelines that are reliable, scalable and
observable.
• Build and support REST APIs using FastAPI for data access and platform integrations.
• Model and optimise database schemas; write and tune complex SQL queries for performance.
• Integrate data from internal systems, third-party APIs and cloud services; handle validation,
error handling and reprocessing.
• Monitor pipeline health, investigate failures and data quality issues, and drive them to root
cause.




• Contribute to microservices-based integrations and event-driven data flows.
• Maintain Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation in line with DevOps
practices.
• Document pipeline design, data lineage and operational runbooks; provide production support
for data workloads.
Required Skills & Experience
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Python development.
• Solid experience developing and supporting REST APIs, specifically with FastAPI.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining data ingestion / ETL pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills with expertise in query optimisation and database design.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and debugging capabilities.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and system integrations.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Good to Have
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).
• Exposure to distributed processing frameworks and workflow orchestration tools
