Reporting To: R&D; / Laboratory Head

Job Purpose

Responsible for analytical testing, application testing, product performance evaluation, data analysis and technical documentation of specialty chemical products. The role will also provide analytical and technical support to R&D;, Sales and customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform analytical and application testing of specialty chemical products.
- Conduct product performance evaluation as per defined test methods and customer/application requirements.
- Perform testing using analytical instruments such as GC, HPLC and UV-Visible Spectrophotometer.
- Ensure accurate, reliable and timely completion of laboratory testing.
- Analyze test results and prepare technical reports, test reports and analytical data.
- Support R&D; activities related to new product development, product improvement and product evaluation.
- Provide technical support to the Sales team and customers, including:

- Product recommendation

- Formulation support

- Performance evaluation

- Technical troubleshooting

- Investigation of customer complaints
- Assist in identifying the root cause of product or application-related issues through analytical testing and data interpretation.
- Maintain proper laboratory records, test results, SOPs and other technical documentation.




- Ensure proper operation, routine maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments.
- Follow Positive Laboratory Practices (GLP), safety procedures and chemical handling requirements.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain required documentation.
- Coordinate with R&D;, Quality, Production and Sales teams for technical and analytical requirements.
- Follow company procedures related to quality, EHS and laboratory operations.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Analytical Chemistry and chemical testing methods.
- Hands-on experience with GC, HPLC and UV-Visible Spectrophotometer.
- Good understanding of analytical data interpretation and technical report preparation.
- Experience in specialty chemicals / chemical manufacturing / R&D; laboratory will be preferred.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to accuracy, quality and safety.

Educational Qualification

- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a related field.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in Specialty Chemicals, Chemical Manufacturing, R&D;, Analytical Laboratory or Quality Control Laboratory.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in GC, HPLC and UV-Visible Spectrophotometer will be preferred.
