Location- Kochi, Trivandrum Role Summary We are looking for an experienced Java Spring Boot & Microservices Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should possess solid expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, Apache Kafka, REST APIs, and Cloud-Native Development.

Experience in eCommerce/Retail platforms and high-volume transaction systems will be highly preferred. The candidate will be responsible for building resilient, event-driven microservices that support critical business functions such as customer management, product catalog, pricing, inventory, cart, checkout, order management, and payment processing.

Key Responsibilities Application Development - Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Develop highly scalable and reusable Microservices following industry best practices.
- Build RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
- Ensure application performance, security, scalability, and reliability.

Microservices

Architecture - Design and implement distributed microservices-based solutions.

- Apply design patterns including:
- Circuit Breaker
- Retry Mechanism
- API Gateway
- Service Discovery
- Event-Driven Architecture
- Implement fault-tolerant and highly available services. Kafka & Event-Driven Development - Design and develop Kafka Producers and Consumers.




- Implement asynchronous communication using Apache Kafka.
- Configure Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, and message queues.
- Handle message serialization/deserialization using Avro or JSON.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka performance issues. eCommerce Platform Development - Develop services supporting:
- Product Catalog
- Pricing & Promotions
- Inventory Management
- Shopping Cart
- Checkout
- Order Processing
- Customer Profile Management
- Payment Integration
- Build APIs for omnichannel commerce experiences.

Database

Development - Design optimized database schemas.

- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases for transactional and analytical workloads. DevOps & Cloud - Participate in CI/CD implementation and automation.
- Containerize applications using Docker.
- Deploy and maintain services on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Work with cloud services and infrastructure teams. Quality & Testing - Develop unit and integration test cases.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
- Ensure high test coverage and application quality.
