Java CommerceTools Architect

Role Summary

We are looking for a Java CommerceTools Architect with 10+ years of hands-on enterprise development experience and strong expertise in CommerceTools, Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Cloud .

The candidate will act as the CommerceTools Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead the architecture, design, customization, integration, and development of scalable commerce solutions. The role requires strong system-design skills and the ability to work closely with developers, architects, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. CommerceTools Expertise

- Serve as the primary CommerceTools SME for the organization/project.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of CommerceTools features, APIs, capabilities, and best practices .
- Lead the configuration, customization, and integration of CommerceTools components.
- Design CommerceTools solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Guide development teams on CommerceTools implementation and best practices.
- Ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of CommerceTools solutions.

1. Microservices & Java Architecture

- Design and lead the development of scalable, modular microservices architectures .
- Develop enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot .
- Define service boundaries, APIs, integration patterns, and architectural standards.
- Ensure microservices follow best practices for scalability, resilience, security, and performance.

1. Cloud Architecture

- Design and implement cloud-based solutions, preferably using GCP .
- Integrate CommerceTools and Java microservices with cloud services.
- Work with DevOps teams on deployment, monitoring, CI/CD,



and cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure cloud solutions are scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective.

1. System Design & Integration

- Architect end-to-end enterprise solutions considering:
- Performance
- Scalability
- Security
- Availability
- Maintainability
- Design integrations between CommerceTools, microservices, third-party systems, and enterprise applications.
- Define API and integration strategies.
- Identify technical risks and recommend appropriate architectural solutions.

1. Leadership & Collaboration

- Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders .
- Lead technical discussions and architecture/design reviews.
- Translate business requirements into technical and architectural solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
- Drive architectural decisions and ensure adherence to defined standards.
