Job Summary The HMS Support Engineer is responsible for providing functional and technical support for the Hospital Management System (HMS) and its integrated applications. The role involves assisting end users, troubleshooting software issues, coordinating with vendors, conducting user training, and ensuring the smooth operation of hospital information systems to support uninterrupted patient care and administrative services.

Key ResponsibilitiesHMS Application Support

- Provide first-level and second-level support for the Hospital Management System (HMS).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to patient registration, appointments, billing, admissions, discharge processes, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, EMR, and other HMS modules.
- Analyze user-reported issues and coordinate with software vendors for timely resolution.
- Monitor HMS performance and escalate critical issues as required.
- Validate software fixes and updates before deployment.

User Support & Training
- Assist doctors, nurses, administrative staff, and other users in utilizing HMS applications effectively.
- Provide guidance on system workflows, data entry, and report generation.

Reporting & Data Management
- Assist departments in generating operational and management reports.




- Validate report accuracy and coordinate report modifications with vendors.
- Monitor data quality and ensure proper usage of the system.

Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve hospital workflows through effective utilization of HMS.
- Recommend system enhancements based on user feedback and operational requirements.
- Support digital transformation initiatives within the hospital.

Required Qualifications
- B.Tech / BE / Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or related field.

Technical Knowledge

Basic knowledge of

- Hospital Information Systems (HIS/HMS)
- Healthcare workflows (OP, IP, Billing, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology)
- Microsoft Windows and MS Office
- Networking fundamentals
- Report generation and data analysis

Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and user-support capabilities
- Ability to understand hospital workflows and business processes
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and software vendors
- Documentation and training skills

Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in HMS/HIS support, healthcare IT, software support

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per year
