- Partner closely with Product to define what gets built, not just how it gets deliveredn
- Drive architecture decisions and technical strategy for cloud-native, microservices-based systems in productionn
- Lead adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) across the SDLCn
- Operate in a quick-moving, ambiguous environment and make sound technical calls with incomplete informationn
- Own hiring, performance management,

nWhat we're looking for:

- n
- 12+ years in software engineering, with 6+ years in engineering managementn
- Proven experience owning a team of 20+ engineers directlyn
- Deep, hands-on experience running production systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP — cloud platform is flexible, but real production depth is notn
- Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and modern CI/CD practicesn
- Demonstrated use of AI tools (Copilot, Claude, or similar) to drive engineering productivityn
- Experience building/scaling engineering teams from the ground up is a strong plusn
- Healthcare or regulated-industry experience is a plus but not required — we care more about production ownership and technical judgment than domain backgroundn
