Position: Incoming Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect and approve incoming raw materials, components, and bought-out parts as per specifications and control plans.
- Review supplier inspection reports, certificates, and quality documentation.
- Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspection using appropriate measuring instruments.
- Handle supplier-related quality issues and coordinate for corrective actions

(8D/CAPA).
- Monitor supplier quality performance and prepare quality reports.
- Raise and manage NCRs for non-conforming incoming material.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Production, Engineering, and Suppliers for quality-related issues.
- Conduct supplier audits and support supplier development activities.




- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and applicable customer-

specific requirements.
- Maintain incoming inspection records, rejection data, and supplier quality documentation.
- Support root-cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D, SPC, and MSA methodologies.
- Participate in continuous improvement and reduction of incoming rejection/Pareto losses.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, 8D.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments such as Vernier,

Micrometer, Height Gauge, CMM, etc.
- Knowledge of automotive components and manufacturing processes.
- Valuable analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and supplier quality systems.
