ASME Authorized Inspector (AI)
nLocation: Chennai, Tamil Nadu | Travel to client sites may be required

We are seeking a highly skilled ASME Authorized Inspector to ensure boilers, pressure vessels, and piping systems meet the highest engineering and safety standards.

nKey Responsibilities:
n
- n
- Conduct shop and field inspections at critical stages of fabrication and assembly.n
- Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, and proof tests as well as non-destructive examinations (NDE).n
- Ensure calibration and verification of inspection and test equipment.n
- Maintain detailed ASME Inspector Diary documenting inspections, findings, and witnessing events.n
- Verify materials, metallurgical traceability, and quality records comply with ASME BPV Code.n
- Review and validate engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations against code requirements.n
- Confirm WPS, PQR, and welder/operator qualifications,



ensuring repairs meet ASME standards.n
- Identify, document, and report non-conforming conditions, ensuring corrective actions are completed.n
- Ensure all ASME BPV Code requirements are met before applying the U-stamp, including proper nameplate and National Board registration marks.n
- Participate in joint reviews with Certificate Holder and AI Supervisors.n
