Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Hospital Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment within the hospital premises. The electrician will ensure reliable and safe electrical operations, with particular attention to critical hospital areas such as operating rooms, ICUs, emergency departments, laboratories, and patient wards.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, panels, switches, sockets, lighting, and electrical equipment.

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital electrical systems.

- Troubleshoot electrical faults and respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency situations.

- Maintain electrical supply to critical areas, including ICU, OT, emergency rooms, laboratories, and medical equipment areas.

- Operate and monitor generators, UPS systems, changeover systems, and other backup power systems.

- Check and maintain electrical distribution boards, MCC panels, transformers, and related equipment.

- Carry out routine inspections and testing of electrical installations.

- Assist in maintaining emergency lighting, fire alarm power supplies, and other safety-related electrical systems.

- Follow hospital safety procedures, electrical safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures.

- Maintain records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities,



and electrical breakdowns.

- Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, biomedical, and other hospital departments when required.

- Ensure electrical work is completed safely with minimum disruption to hospital operations.

- Maintain tools, equipment, and spare electrical materials in good working condition.

- Attend electrical emergencies and breakdowns during shifts or on-call duties.

Required Qualifications

- ITI/Diploma in Electrical or equivalent technical qualification.

- Relevant experience as an electrician, preferably in a hospital, healthcare facility, hotel, commercial building, or industrial setting.

- Good knowledge of electrical wiring, distribution systems, control panels, generators, UPS, and basic electrical testing.

- Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

- Knowledge of electrical safety practices and applicable regulations.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
