About this Role The Accounting CoE S16 role sits within the Accounting Competence Centre and directly supports Vodafone Groups EndtoEnd Accounting & Reporting framework. The position acts as a central decision-making authority for strategic accounting judgements and ensures compliance with accounting standards across Vodafones local markets. As part of Lean Corporate Services (LCS), the Accounting Centre of Excellence serves as a globally centralised unit responsible for directing consistent adoption of accounting and reporting standards and evolving the global Record to Report (RTR) process framework.

The individual contributes significantly to the Group’s governance, financial accuracy, and strategic accounting initiatives, while supporting performance excellence across all markets.

What you will do

- Provide functional oversight and guidance on IFRS16 compliance processes, including balance sheet reconciliation, revenue assurance, policy interpretation and data aggregation.
- Lead IFRS16related projects,



ensuring accurate accounting treatment and high-quality reporting for balance sheet and profit & loss impacts.
- Partner closely with the Group Financial Reporting and Accounting Principles & Advisory teams to align accounting judgements and ensure correct application of policies.
- Support Chief Accountants in local markets with accurate and timely financial reporting under IFRS and local GAAP.
- Collaborate with the RTR Solutions team to prioritise and execute key accounting initiatives across Vodafone.
- Ensure consistent, robust and compliant accounting treatment for major commercial and transformation initiatives.
- Provide subject matter expertise for process transformation within the Commercial Shared Operations organisation.
- Contribute to strategic objectives of the Accounting CoE, Market Financial Control and Vodafone Group.
- Lead or support cross-functional and cross-entity projects within the RTR-S16 domain, including revenue assurance and M&A; activities.
- Oversee accounting considerations from concept through implementation in major transformation initiatives.
- Recommend efficient, compliant and scalable accounting solutions aligned to business needs.
- Translate business requirements into clear qualitative and quantitative insights, particularly during high-impact scenarios.




- Maintain deep understanding of the IFRS16 process performance landscape, identifying quality gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Support VOIS-led initiatives that enhance IFRS16 process performance and governance.
- Maintain the measures, controls and reporting required for a strong E2E IFRS16 compliance framework across markets.

What skills you need

- Chartered Accountant qualification (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on IFRS16 experience.
- Strong technical accounting expertise across IFRS, lease accounting, and commercial contract application.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering major finance transformation programmes.
- IT and data analytics proficiency.
- Telecommunications industry knowledge and financial acumen.
