About The Job:
We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize enterprise database environments across on-premises and cloud platforms (Azure preferred). The role requires deep expertise in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, high availability, and cloud database management, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability of mission-critical systems.
This role operates in a global delivery model, providing L3 support, driving automation, and supporting cloud modernization initiatives.





Essential Job Functions:

Database Administration & Operations
Administer, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022 or later) environments
Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations
Manage database backups, restores, and recovery models
Ensure database availability, integrity, and performance

Cloud Database Management
Manage and support databases in cloud platforms (Azure SQL, Managed Instance, IaaS)
Implement cloud-native database solutions and support hybrid architecture
Optimize cloud cost, performance, and scalability
Support database migrations to cloud settings

Performance Tuning & Optimization
Monitor and optimize query performance, indexing strategies, and execution plans
Identify and resolve bottlenecks related to CPU, memory, IO, and database design
Perform proactive capacity planning and perf
