Head of Operations – Intercity & Smart Bus Services

We are looking for a high-velocity, data-driven Head of Operations to scale and manage our tech-enabled smart bus network.

- Supply & Vendor Management: Onboard, manage, and retain private bus operators and asset owners. Build sustainable partnership frameworks, resolve merchant queries, and establish seamless payout tracking structures.
- On-Ground Execution & Hub Operations: Oversee terminal operations, boarding lounges, smart hubs, and pitstops. Ensure highly effective dispatch, on-time departures, and seamless terminal management.
- Service Level Agreements (SLAs) & Quality Assurance: Define and maintain rigorous standards for vehicle cleanliness, driver/crew behavioral training, onboard amenities (Wi-Fi, charging points), and passenger safety.
- Fleet Optimization & Yield: Collaborate with the product and revenue teams to maximize bus utilization, track route performance metrics, optimize vehicle routing layouts, and control operational costs.
- Incident Management & Crisis Control: Build 24/7 command center matrices for breakdown responses, alternative fleet deployment, customer safety incidents, and real-time transit disruption management.
- Team Leadership:



Build and manage cross-functional teams including Regional Operations Managers, Ground Operations Executives, Support Agents, and Route Auditors.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: 8–12 years of core operations experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity at a prominent intercity bus aggregator, smart mobility platform, micro-mobility startup, or tech-first fleet operator.
- Tech-Savvy Mindset: Deep comfort using and optimizing digital telemetry tools, internal automated dashboard platforms, route-mapping software, and fleet tracking SaaS.
- Analytical Prowess: Strong ability to manipulate data dashboards to identify supply gaps, bottleneck trends, operational leakages, and route-level P&L; opportunities.
- Hands-on Approach: A leader who loves getting onto the field, auditing boarding points directly, and interacting directly with drivers and suppliers to streamline ground ops.
- Communication: Exceptional negotiation skills to handle tough conversations with traditional bus operators, alongside polished leadership skills to present data metrics to the C-suite.

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
