The NYC — Not Your College vertical focuses on building a robust digital-first learning and media brand.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Head of Content & Media to lead the content function for NYC.

You will be responsible for content strategy, production, team management, quality and performance across YouTube, Instagram, short-form platforms, courses, workshops and campaigns.

The goal is to build a consistent content system that grows the audience, strengthens the brand and supports business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES v Build and execute the overall content strategy and calendar.

v Define content themes, formats and publishing priorities.

v Manage the complete content process from idea to publishing.

v Lead long-form and short-form content across YouTube, Instagram and other relevant platforms.

v Develop engaging formats around education, careers, technology, founders and industry topics.

v Maintain quality across storytelling, editing, thumbnails, titles and content presentation.

v Build an efficient short-form and content repurposing system.

v Hire, manage and develop creators, editors, producers, shooters and freelancers.

v Set clear workflows, SOPs and performance expectations for the team.





v Work with Marketing, Growth, Product and Creative teams on campaigns, launches and courses.

v Track content performance including views, retention, engagement and audience growth.

v Use performance data to improve content strategy and execution.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES v 2-4 years of experience in Content, Media, YouTube, Digital Production or a related field.

v Proven experience leading a content/media team.

v Strong understanding of YouTube, short-form content and video storytelling.

v Good understanding of audience retention, content packaging and digital media.

v Experience managing end-to-end content production.

v Strong people management, project management and communication skills.

v Ability to balance quality, creativity and speed.

v Data-driven approach to content performance and decision-making.

v Experience in EdTech, digital media, creator-led or content-led businesses is preferred.
