Frontend Developer Intern

Location: Chennai / Remote / Hybrid

Duration: 36 Months

Stipend: 6,000 per month

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Frontend Developer Intern to join our team and help build clean, responsive, and user-friendly web interfaces across multiple platforms, including WordPress, Shopify, and Wix.

This is a great opportunity to work on real-world web and e-commerce projects, learn from experienced developers, and grow your skills in modern frontend technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Build and customize websites and online stores using WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix, and Yallamae.

Build reusable UI components using frameworks such as React.js or Vue.js.

Customize themes, templates, and plugins across CMS and e-commerce platforms.

Collaborate with designers to convert UI/UX designs into functional web pages.

Work with backend developers to integrate APIs.

Set up and manage product listings, pages, and store layouts on Shopify and WooCommerce.

Implement basic on-page SEO practices, including meta titles, descriptions, alt tags, and URL structure.

Debug and fix UI issues across different browsers and devices.

Optimize websites and applications for speed and performance.

Write clean, maintainable,



and well-documented code.

Participate in team meetings and code reviews.

Stay updated with emerging frontend, e-commerce, and SEO trends.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Hands-on or academic exposure to WordPress and WooCommerce.

Familiarity with Shopify and Wix website building and customization.

Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keywords, meta tags, alt text, and page speed.

Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue is a plus.

Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

Basic knowledge of Git and version control.

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Positive to Have

Experience with Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap.

Basic knowledge of TypeScript.

Familiarity with REST APIs.

Experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Yoast, or Rank Math.

A portfolio or GitHub profile showcasing personal projects or websites.
