About the Role

This is not a conventional Full-Stack Developer role.

We are looking for a Founding Developer who will take complete ownership of our website today and help us build the technology, systems, and products behind the next stage of WhatNext Overseas.

The website is just Phase 1.

You will work closely with the CEO, Head of Business & Strategy, and Marketing Lead , with the freedom to make technical decisions and build from scratch.

What You’ll Own

? Website — End-to-End

- Own our Next.js + React website
- Redesigns, new features, bug fixes, and maintenance
- Performance, responsiveness, and deployments
- APIs, forms, and third-party integrations

? Landing Pages & CRO

- Build landing pages for campaigns, seminars, webinars, and education fairs
- Lead capture and conversion tracking
- A/B testing of layouts, CTAs and copy

✍️ Content & Blog

- Study-abroad guides, visa explainers, scholarships and course content
- Blog strategy, writing, editing and publishing
- Web copy, banners, thumbnails and multimedia

? SEO & Organic Growth

- Keyword research
- On-page and technical SEO
- Schema markup, internal linking and structured data
- Core Web Vitals, indexation, sitemaps and Search Console

? Analytics & Reporting

- GA4, Search Console and Google Tag Manager
- Conversion tracking
- Monthly reporting focused on business decisions, not just dashboards

The Bigger Roadmap Once the website foundation is in place, you’ll move into building:

Phase 2 — Internal Systems & Automation

- In-house CRM
- AI-powered student application processing
- Outreach and email automation
- Employee task management
- Pipeline and revenue dashboards
- Backend systems and data architecture

Phase 3 — Student Products

- AI-powered interview preparation
- SOP development and refinement




- Communication and personality development tools
- End-to-end application journey tracking

Phase 4 — EdTech & Engineering Team

- In-house EdTech products and courses
- Building and eventually leading the technical team

What We’re Looking For Must-have:

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in web development and content creation
- Next.js, React, and JavaScript
- HTML5, CSS3 and Tailwind
- Git & GitHub
- Responsive web development
- APIs and forms
- SEO implementation
- Google Search Console and GA4
- Keyword research and on-page optimisation
- Experience independently managing a live website
- Experience creating content that ranks and generates leads
- Strong ownership and ability to work independently

- Node.js
- PostgreSQL / MongoDB
- API design
- LLM / AI integration
- OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar
- Sanity, Strapi or Contentful
- SSR / SSG
- Hotjar / VWO
- WordPress / Webflow
- Marketing automation
- EdTech / Study Abroad experience
