Reports To: Fire & Safety Manager / Safety Officer
Job Summary
Responsible for preventing and responding to fire emergencies, protecting people and property, operating firefighting equipment, and ensuring compliance with fire-safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond quickly to fire alarms and emergency situations.
- Operate fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, hoses, pumps, and other firefighting equipment.
- Conduct regular inspection of fire-fighting equipment and systems.
- Assist with fire drills and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Identify and report fire hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain fire-safety records and inspection checklists.
- Assist in rescue and evacuation operations during emergencies.
- Ensure fire exits, emergency routes, and fire equipment remain accessible.
- Follow company safety policies and applicable fire-safety regulations.
- Participate in routine training and emergency-response exercises.
Qualifications
- 10th/12th pass or equivalent, depending on organizational requirements.
- Fireman/Fire & Safety certification preferred.
- Physically fit and medically capable of performing emergency duties.
- Basic knowledge of firefighting and first aid.
- Prior experience in fire & safety is an advantage.
