Tencys is seeking professionals to join our Enterprise Planning & Analytics practice as Financial Planning Systems Functional Associates. The role combines Finance/FP&A; expertise, business analysis, financial planning, and enterprise planning technology.
The consultant will work with clients to understand business and planning requirements and translate them into solutions covering budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, financial modeling, management reporting, scenario analysis, and business performance management.
Prior experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or other enterprise planning platforms is preferred. Candidates with strong Finance, FP&A;, Accounting, or Business Analytics backgrounds and the ability to learn enterprise planning technology are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Business & Planning Analysis: Understand client finance and planning requirements and participate in discovery workshops to translate business needs into functional solutions.
- Planning Solution Design & Configuration: Support the design and configuration of financial and operational planning models, including assumptions, calculations, dimensions, hierarchies, versions, scenarios, budgeting, and forecasting structures.
- Reporting, Analysis & Validation: Develop management reports and dashboards, perform variance and scenario analysis, and support data validation, reconciliation, testing, and UAT activities.
- Implementation & Client Support: Prepare functional documentation, collaborate with technical teams on integrations and data requirements, participate in client meetings and solution discussions, and support implementation and production activities.
Basic Requirements
- 2–8 years of relevant experience in Finance, FP&A;, Accounting, Financial Planning,
Business Analytics, ERP Consulting, or Enterprise Planning.
- Strong understanding of Finance and business planning processes.
- Valuable working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
- Experience in one or more areas such as FP&A;, Budgeting and Forecasting, Financial Modelling, P&L; Analysis, Revenue and Expense Planning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong interest in learning enterprise planning technologies and working in a consulting environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or another enterprise planning platform such as Anaplan, Oracle EPM/Hyperion, SAP BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud Planning, IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, OneStream, Planful, Pigment, Board, Jedox, Vena, or Prophix.
- Solid exposure to SQL, including the ability to write and understand queries for data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and analysis.
- Understanding of enterprise planning concepts including planning models, dimensions, hierarchies, versions, scenarios, workflows, reporting, and budgeting.
- Exposure to Workday Financial Management, Workday HCM, Workday Reporting, business processes, or financial structures.
- Educational background in B.Com, M.Com, BBA, MBA Finance, CA, CMA, ACCA, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or related fields.
- Experience in enterprise technology, ERP, financial systems, or consulting environments.
- Candidates with strong Finance/FP&A; fundamentals but without Adaptive Planning experience will also be considered and may receive structured training in Workday Adaptive Planning.
