Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Factory In-Charge to manage the complete day-to-day operations of our furniture manufacturing unit.
The candidate will be responsible for production planning, manpower management, raw material management, quality control, machine coordination, finishing, packing, dispatch, worker discipline, and overall factory efficiency.
The ideal candidate should have 3–4 years of relevant experience in furniture manufacturing or a similar production environment and should be capable of independently handling factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the complete day-to-day operations of the furniture manufacturing factory.
- Plan daily and weekly production according to customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Allocate manpower and supervise carpenters, machine operators, polishers, painters, helpers, and packing staff.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the required time and quality standards.
- Monitor the complete furniture manufacturing process, including cutting, drilling, assembly, polishing, painting, finishing, upholstery, and packing, as applicable.
- Ensure furniture is manufactured according to approved designs, measurements, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor the availability and proper utilization of wood, plywood, MDF, laminates, hardware, fabric, foam, paint, polish, and other raw materials.
- Coordinate with the Purchase and Stores teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
- Maintain proper control over raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Control and minimize material wastage, rejection, rework, and production losses.
- Conduct regular quality checks at different stages of production.
- Ensure proper finishing and workmanship of furniture before packing and dispatch.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for machinery breakdowns, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety of factory machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Manage worker attendance, shifts, overtime, productivity, and discipline.
- Train and guide workers to improve productivity, quality, and workmanship.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, cleanliness, safety, and 5S practices throughout the factory.
- Coordinate with the Dispatch/Delivery team to ensure timely packing and dispatch of finished products.
- Maintain daily production, manpower, material consumption, wastage, inventory, and dispatch reports.
- Monitor production progress and identify bottlenecks or delays.
- Take corrective action to resolve day-to-day production and operational issues.
- Ensure smooth coordination between Production, Stores, Purchase, Quality, and Dispatch departments.
- Report daily factory performance, production status, manpower requirements, and operational issues to management.
- Implement processes to improve production efficiency, quality, cost control, and delivery timelines.
- Perform any other factory-related duties assigned by the management.
Candidate Requirements
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in furniture manufacturing, factory operations, production, or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience in furniture production and manpower handling is highly preferred.
- Positive knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes and materials.
- Strong experience in handling carpenters, machine operators, helpers, polishers, painters, and other factory workers.
- Ability to independently manage day-to-day factory operations.
- Good understanding of production planning, quality control, and inventory management.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period will be preferred.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for a hands-on Factory In-Charge who can independently take responsibility for the smooth functioning of the furniture manufacturing unit.
The candidate should be capable of managing workers, planning production, controlling material wastage, maintaining product quality, solving day-to-day factory issues, and ensuring orders are completed and dispatched on time.
Salary will be based on experience, skills, and suitability.
