About the Role

This position is suited to an accounting professional with at least 2 years of UK accountancy practice experience who has a strong practical understanding of bookkeeping, VAT returns, reconciliations and UK client accounting.

Key Responsibilities
Perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities for UK-based clients.
Prepare monthly UK VAT returns and support Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
Perform regular bank, credit card and accounting ledger reconciliations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
Support month-end accounting and reporting activities.
Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
Review transactions and identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Provide accounting and bookkeeping support to Client Accountants.
Respond to bookkeeping-related client queries and obtain required information or documentation.
Provide ad-hoc accounting support to the wider team.




Ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Requirements:
Part-Qualified CA/ACCA or Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance.
Minimum 2 years of UK accountancy practice experience.
Practical experience in UK bookkeeping and VAT returns.
Good understanding of UK accounting processes and Making Tax Digital (MTD).
Experience with bank and ledger reconciliations.
Understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Solid working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and Zoho.
Positive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
Valuable attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to work effectively with UK-based clients and accounting teams.
