Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain product costing for various products, grades, and product categories.

- Prepare and analyze standard cost, actual cost, and product-wise cost sheets.

- Develop and maintain costing models considering raw materials, consumables, power, fuel, labour, overheads, conversion costs, and other relevant cost components.

- Perform product-wise and process-wise cost analysis and identify key cost drivers.

- Conduct standard vs. actual cost variance analysis and investigate significant deviations.

- Analyze variances related to raw material consumption, yield, power, fuel, labour, overheads, and production efficiency.

- Coordinate with Production/Operations teams to understand operational variances and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

- Support product pricing and profitability analysis by providing accurate product cost information.

- Monitor material price and consumption variances and assess their impact on product costs.

- Prepare periodic costing MIS and management reports, highlighting key trends, variances, and areas requiring corrective action.

- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities related to product costing and inventory valuation.





- Work closely with the Supply Chain and Procurement teams to evaluate the impact of changes in raw material prices and procurement costs.

- Review and validate BOMs, routings, production processes, and cost drivers for accurate product costing.

- Assist in inventory valuation and reconciliation from a costing perspective.

- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement across manufacturing operations.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost reduction initiatives.

- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable costing principles.

- Provide costing-related support during internal and statutory audits.

SAP / ERP Skills

- Hands-on experience in SAP HANA / SAP S4HANA is preferred.

- Solid understanding of SAP Product Costing / CO module will be an advantage.

- Experience in Material Ledger, Standard Costing, Actual Costing, BOM, Routing, Production Order Costing, and Variance Analysis will be preferred.

- Should be comfortable working with ERP-based costing and financial data.

- Strong MS Excel and MIS/reporting skills.
